Hi there. We're KéCé. We’re passionate about Indonesian specialty coffee, and we want to make it available for everyone. No pretension, no snobbery, just the highest quality, most unique coffees from Indonesia, roasted to perfection, and ground however you need it.
Kece is Indonesian slang for aesthetically beautiful, and we think everything about Indonesian specialty coffee is kece.
HOW DID WE GET STARTED?
Two coffee lovers with strong links to Indonesia wondered why it was so rare to see Indonesian specialty coffee on offer in Amsterdam.
After a voyage of discovery we came to the plan to correct this omission: bring the highest quality, most unique coffee - showcasing Indonesian producers’ ingrained know-how - to Amsterdam’s most talented coffee roasters & consumers.
OUR COFFEE
We accept only top scoring beans and aim to get it straight from the farmers cooperatives.
We have a large and growing network across Indonesia, and elsewhere in South East Asia. We spend a lot of time traveling the region to find sources for truly unique and outstanding coffee.
We prefer radical, modern processes with distinct flavours.
OUR SUSTAINABLE PLEDGE
We choose sustainable, socially and environmentally responsible sources, and we believe in supporting our local community by partnering with local cooperatives and organizations. The green beans are roasted locally in the Netherlands to ensure the freshest and most flavorful coffee possible.
KéCé is coffee business with an Indonesian woman as a co-founder, and we know it is pretty rare even in Amsterdam.
Women are the backbone of the Indonesian coffee industry. We recognise the struggles encountered by female entrepreneurs in Indonesia, and as such, we aim to work with local female cooperatives whenever we can.
